Meet Fay

Hi there, I’m Fay!

I launched OC Speech and Drama Academy in 2021 and run a variety of different classes in County Tyrone, Armagh and Down. My classes are specifically designed to encourage young people to communicate effectively and confidently!

Now a little about my academic background.

I studied Speech and Drama from a very young age and progressed through my public speaking, bronze, silver and gold awards to receive my Speech and Drama teaching certificate with New Era Academy! As a very shy child, it was important to develop confidence and the ability to communicate effectively, skills I developed quickly through my Speech and Drama classes.

Since achieving my teaching certificate, I accepted an offer to Ulster University and studied there from 2015 to 2019 gaining an Undergraduate degree and Masters in Language and Linguistics. My university experience has only heightened my ability to publicly speak and communicate effectively.

My education and experience has encouraged me to begin my own journey as a Speech and Drama teacher with the goal of helping others communicate constructively so they can be the very best version of themselves.

Additionally, I received my level 3 Makaton which I incorporate into my teaching in order to amplify the communicational abilities of my pupils.

Language is a vehicle of communication, so why not perfect it?
