Accredited Speech and Drama
Our Accredited Speech and Drama courses are an empowering way for young people to learn how to effectively communicate with confidence. Our year long courses expose young people to an array of poetry and literature and build upon their public speaking skills, creativity and confidence. Our Accredited Speech and Drama courses prepare pupils for a grade exam at the end of the year.
Speech and Drama is an exhilarating way to prepare young people for their future. Effective communication and self confidence are extremely important skills for young people to master at a young age so they can be properly prepared for the challenges that come with adulthood.
Our Accredited courses are considered a fantastic extra curricular qualification and look great on a CV or University application form.
Drama Bee Classes
Our Drama Bee classes are an interactive way for young children to develop self confidence, a creative imagination, empathy and maturity in interpersonal skills. Our classes are filled with drama games, music, dancing, acting and interactive story telling in a safe space for children to socialise with one another.
Our Drama Bee classes have come at a very important time, post pandemic when children need socialisation, confidence and shown how to express themselves and escape from their shell.
It is important for us at OC Speech and Drama to teach our Drama Bees all forms of communication in order to enhance their ability to communicate with whomever they meet in their lives. This is why we teach Makaton to our Drama Bees classes and sign throughout our lessons - another skill to add to the list!

School Workshops
We work closely with Key Stage 2 children through our OC School Workshops as we help prepare them for their transition into secondary school. Our 6 week long workshops are an empowering way of introducing young people to activities beyond their comfort zone and encourage them to tap into their creative side. Moving on from primary school comes with its own daunting challenges for young people so we, at OC Speech and Drama Academy have carefully designed a workshop for young people to help enhance their confidence, strengthen their communicational abilities and develop their interpersonal skills.
With the opportunity, young people can grow into the best version of themselves!
